The Basing House CAT Project needs your help!

The Basing House CAT Project is primarily an archaeology student training excavation, run by the University of Southampton. But we would like to make the forthcoming Basing House Summer 2014 excavation open to as many people as possible.

If you’d like to come along for all (or just some) of the excavation, let us know your details in the form below, and we’ll get back to you with more information on the kinds of things that will be available.

The excavation will run from the 21st July to the 16th August 2014.

We will work on site Monday to Saturday, with Sundays off site.

I would be grateful if you could let me know if I have to complete any forms for this dig and other details. I am due to start on the dig on Sunday.(28 JUly 2013)

    1. Hi Steven. We don’t dig on a Sunday; our trowels needed a day off! But we’ll be on site the next day. There is a risk assessment form which we’ll go through with you when you arrive on site. That’s it! We’re on site from 9 each morning. The public Gate will be locked but we can have this unlocked if you call me before to organise this. 07956077995 we look forward to meeting you!
